vote on names

I wrote all my possible names for my magazine down and asked people in my school to vote on which they preffered. 'Indie Scene' (IS) got the most with 6 votes however 'Indipendent Lable Rock' and 'New Wave Rock' both had 4 votes each.

Indie rock is a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United Kingdom and the United States in the 1980s. Indie rock is extremely diverse.

Indie stands for indipendent lables and generaly the music is from unsigned artists and does not often apear in the popular charts.

The early bands were the likes of R.E.M, Oasis and others all portraying a new era of music. today bands such and Bombay Bicycle Club, Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian (who you can see above).

fasion is extreemly important in indie rock, and portraying the right steriotypical image will be vital for my magazine. I do not want the models in the magazine looking like they are rappers or soul singers they need to reinforce the magazines identity.

Feedback

In class we all looked at each others blogs and final pieces and gave feedback in order for them to improve their work. The feedback given to me can be seen above. the general impression was that my work was good with a consistant house style. However their were small improvements that i could make such as on my blog insure that the lables were clear and make the explinations more detailed.

Some of the feedback that i got for my front page was to make the bar code smaller, change the font at the bottom of the page change color of the writing in Grey. i also was told that the color scheme worked well and he picture was good and also they liked the red sticker.

Looking back at your preliminary task (the school magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

In order to answer this question I used the website Prezi. I think that there is huge development from my preliminary task. I used a wide variety of tools and techniques on my final piece and I think you can realy see the difference in the outcome.

 My contents from my final piece has become far more professional. the pictures are better quality and the content is more specific and detailed. the front cove has a much more professional picture and the Sub headings do a better job of advertising what is inside the magazine.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

By constructing my product I have used many different technologies. programs such as photoshop and indesign areextreemly importand in making the magazine itsels. also things such as cameras 

In the video that I made above you can see the variety of technologies that I used. I believe that my knowledge of them and ability to use the has increased significantly.

-The photos that i took on the Olympus camera had much better quality as I progressed

- Then by using photo shop i gave them a more professional look. i learnt how to use the tools such as liquify, contrast and brightness and the advantages of using layers.
